In this sense, this work seeks to map, through the state of the art, the production of Comics in certain categories such as: Qualis A1 and A2 magazines, works in events that were coordinated by SBEM, specifically ENEM, SIPEM and Forum de Licenciaturas, and dissertations. After this data collection, twenty-three works were selected to which some criteria for analysis were defined, such as: methodology, theoretical framework and conclusions. Thus, each work was analyzed so that it was possible to make a comparison between the categories and have an overview of the HQ in the teaching of Mathematics. From this, it was observed that Comics are used as an aid to motivate students to learn something because of the way they are structured and the students' familiarity with them, however it is noticeable that there is a gap regarding the lack of discussion about whether they really can help students learn certain content. In view of these observations, it is evident that this area needs to be further explored by researchers so that its acceptance and use in the room actually occurs. Ao analisar o potencial das Histórias em Quadrinhos no ensino e aprendizagem de Matemática, surgiu a ideia de desenvolver esta pesquisa, para fazer um levantamento de produções desenvolvidas nessa área. Nesse sentido, esse trabalho busca mapear, através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, produções sobre Histórias em Quadrinhos em determinadas categorias como: revistas de Qualis A1 e A2, trabalhos em eventos que foram coordenados pela SBEM, especificamente ENEM, SIPEM e Fórum de Licenciaturas, e dissertações. Depois desse levantamento de dados, foram selecionados vinte e três trabalhos aos quais foram delimitados alguns critérios para análise como: metodologia, referencial teórico e conclusões. Nesse viés, foi feita uma análise de cada trabalho de maneira individual e mais abrangente para que fosse possível fazer comparação entre as categorias e ter um panorama sobre as HQ no ensino de Matemática. A partir disso, foi observado que as Histórias em Quadrinhos são utilizadas como um auxílio para motivar os alunos a aprenderem algo por conta da forma como são estruturadas e a familiaridade dos alunos com elas. Entretanto é perceptível que existe uma lacuna referente à falta de discussão sobre se realmente elas conseguem ajudar os alunos aprenderem determinados conteúdo.
