The present work brings as theme, "Project of a didactic bench for correction of the power factor", seeking to present of simplified form, through the project of the didactic bench, the importance of the correction of the power factor in a RLC circuit in alternating current, to students of engineer and vocational technical courses that study disciplines as Electric Circuits. The adopted methodology was of qualitative and scientific nature, besides the application of the software NI Multisim 14.1 to accomplish simulations of the proposed circuits and of the software AutoCad 2017 to create the electric diagram and the layout of the bench. When developed, it can provide to the students a better understanding of the correction of the power factor and the importance of to have an efficient circuit, where the supplied energy is transformed in useful work, without causing distortions in the feeding net, and consequently, improving the useful life of the equipments installed in the system. After the assembly of the bench, through rehearsals, following the itineraries in the appendix, the students will still go to see in practice as the correction of the power factor it happens in a RLC circuit.
