His paper aimed to describe the barriers faced by CHWs in the Arapiuuns region during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is essential to discuss the importance of the Community Health Agent (CHA) in face of the difficulties faced in rural communities, looking at the actions that characterize Primary Health Care. The population chosen for the research were the Community Health Agents from the riparian region of the Arapiuns River. For data analysis we used the software Iramuteque to help in the initial treatment of the data, and from the analysis of Descending Hierarchical Classification and similarity tree, we obtained seven classes that were analyzed and grouped. We found several challenges faced by the CHWs, such as facing, among the communities assisted, a certain "discredit" regarding the severity of the pandemic; lack of material supplies; devaluation of the work, among others. It was also verified that the Public Policies, aiming at improving the work of the CHWs within the Amazonian territory, are of fundamental importance, given the daily challenges of the territory. Faced with the pandemic scenario, the difficulties that surround these professionals became even more evident, as well as how much SUS needs to advance in health actions.
