The present work analyzed the contributions of popular education to the health promotion of researchers. The objective is analyze the contributions of Popular Health Education to health promotion. The theme was born from discussions in the classroom to arouse interest more intensely in the health theme, since it is still a new and little merged approach to health in the subject of health, since it is still a new and little fused approach to health. on the subject. This is a study of Integrative Literature Review - RIL, carried out at the Virtual Health Library - BVS, using as inclusion criteria: full-text articles, in Portuguese, covering the theme of popular health education, disseminated and indexed in the databases: BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, from 2011 to 2021. The search was performed using the descriptors: Health Education and Health Promotion. After the synthesis of the integrity of the publications resulting from the collection in the VHL, using the proper health descriptions and based on the integrity of inclusion, reading the articles, reading the reading of the materials, remain in the RIL, new articles. In fact, of the nine articles selected for the study, they presented active methodologies, such as five cordel literature, multiprofessional actions in UBS, community radio, conversation circles, student competitions. There was no predominance of a single active methodology, but all of them were used with emphasis especially for dialogue, appreciation of knowledge and autonomy of the participants. However, all of them do not cover the scope of Primary Health Care, as this is considered a gateway to the SUS. Popular health education is still a challenging way of promoting health, but no longer utopian like the decades, the basis of its evolution through academic project units that, through their extension projects, seek to improve and train their future professionals, to build the bi model and explain the continuous maintenance with communities and exchange of knowledge, in order to meet the real needs for the needs of creating bonds. To carry out this study, some challenges were, such as the low expression of bibliographic articles, this fact was observed during the data search, which is probably little known 9 in universities. Therefore, bringing this theme and stimulating the debate on the subject is necessary, since, in the northern region, little is discussed about EPS. O estudo de educação em saúde aborda um conteúdo histórico e evolutivo da educação e têm a sua concepção orientada em três eixos temáticos: educação permanente, educação continuada e educação popular. O presente trabalho buscará analisar as contribuições da educação popular para a promoção da saúde dos indivíduos. Em seu objetivo está a análise das contribuições da Educação Popular em Saúde para a promoção da saúde. O interesse pelo tema nasceu de discussões em sala de aula suscitando o anseio de adentrar mais intensamente ao assunto estudado visto que o mesmo ainda é uma abordagem muito nova e pouco difundida no campo da saúde. Trata-se de um estudo de Revisão Integrativa de Literatura- RIL, realizado na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde- BVS, usando como critérios de inclusão: artigos na íntegra, em português, que retratam a temática referente à educação popular em saúde, publicados e indexados nos bancos de dados: BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, no período de 2011 a 2021. A busca foi feita utilizando os descritores: Educação em Saúde e Promoção da Saúde. Após a síntese criteriosa das publicações resultantes de coleta na BVS, utilizando os devidos descritores de saúde e usando como base os critérios de inclusão, leitura do título dos artigos, leitura na íntegra dos materiais, permaneceram na RIL, nove artigos. Dos nove artigos selecionados para o estudo, cinco apresentaram metodologias ativas, tais como, literatura de cordel, ações de multiprofissionais em UBS, rádio comunitária, rodas de conversas, gincanas estudantis. Não se observou a predominância de uma única metodologia ativa, mas todas que foram utilizadas deram ênfase especialmente para o diálogo, valorização dos saberes e autonomia dos participantes. No entanto, todas elas ocorreram no âmbito da Atenção Primária à Saúde, visto que esta é considerada como a porta de entrada para o SUS. Por fim, a educação popular em saúde ainda é uma forma desafiadora de promover saúde, porém não mais utópica como a algumas décadas, têm base da sua evolução por meio das unidades acadêmicas que, através de seus projetos de extensão, muito buscaram se aprimorar e capacitar seus futuros profissionais, para desconstruir o modelo biologista e explanar o continuo convívio com comunidades para assim criar vínculos e trocas de saberes, a fim de atender as reais necessidades das populações. Para a realização desse estudo, alguns desafios foram encontrados, como a pouca expressividade de artigos bibliográficos que retratam a EPS, tal fato 7 foi observado durante a realização da busca dos dados, o que demonstrou que a temática é pouco discutida nas universidades.
