It was observed that in relation to the State of Pará, the Lower Amazon has the predominance of economic activities in the production of temporary crops and livestock. The State of Pará has an irrigated area of 92,474 hectares, which represents a growth of 315.25% in relation to 2006. About 44% of the irrigated area in Pará uses the localized irrigation system (microsprinkler) and 27% of the areas use irrigation systems (other methods or watering), while in the Lower Amazon there is a predominance of surface irrigation (inundation). The capture of water resources by surface sources (springs, rivers and streams) protected by forests, followed by wells and/or conventional cisterns is common both in the State of Pará and in the Lower Amazon. The dynamics of use and occupation of the Lower Amazon Integration Region favors the concentration of irrigated areas and the number of establishments with irrigation in municipalities such as Santarém. The growth of irrigated agriculture requires that policies to regulate the use of water resources be expanded both in the State of Pará and in the Lower Amazon, as well as that irrigation management be adopted by producers. Com o propósito de fornecer dados importantes para o planejamento e a utilização eficiente dos recursos hídricos, o presente trabalho teve como finalidade fazer um levantamento estatístico da atividade econômica, do uso dos recursos hídricos e da irrigação na Região de Integração do Baixo Amazonas no Estado do Pará, a partir dos dados do Censo Agropecuário IBGE 2017. Observou-se que em relação ao Estado do Pará o Baixo Amazonas possui como dominância das atividades econômicas a produção de lavouras temporárias e a pecuária. O Estado do Pará possui uma área irrigada de 92.474 hectares, o que representa um crescimento de 315,25 % em relação a 2006. Cerca de 44% da área irrigada paraense utiliza o sistema de irrigação localizada (microaspersão) e 27 % das áreas utilizam sistemas de irrigação (outros métodos ou molhação), enquanto no Baixo Amazonas há predominância da irrigação por superfície (inundação). A captação dos recursos hídricos por fontes superficiais (nascentes, rios e riachos) protegidos por matas, seguido de poços e/ou cisternas convencionais é comum tanto no Estado do Pará como no Baixo Amazonas. A dinâmica de uso e ocupação da Região de Integração do Baixo Amazonas favorece concentração de áreas irrigadas e número de estabelecimentos com irrigação em municípios como Santarém.
