Resumo:
This paper aims to present a multi-sided business model for the purchase and sale of waterway tickets in the western region of Pará through an e-commerce platform. To this end, a survey was carried out on the current deficiencies in the commercialization of tickets and shows how a multi-sided business platform can provide improvements for this type of activity. The work has a technological nature for producing a prototype of a software platform with a qualitative approach aligned with the Task-Technology Fit (TTF) theory. Field research was adopted as a methodology for collecting information and the main needs that guided the development of the platform with the proposed business model combined with the use of the scrum development framework. The results showed, after mapping the processes and modeling canvas of the activity of commercialization of waterway tickets, that the multi-sided business model can boost the modernization of this activity, in addition to solving pending regulatory issues of shipping companies that operate in the sector. The research is one of the first that presents an alternative to solve the historical problem related to the commercialization of waterway passages experienced throughout the North region, as it presents a business model that aims to modernize such activity, with a specific focus on the region. which comprises western Pará. The results of the work may guide new approaches to solving this problem, especially the aspects that could not be covered in the research due to the scope of water transport activity in the North region.
