Resumo:
The developed study proposes to identify how aspects of administrative efficiency have influenced the equipment acquisition processes destined to research at Universidade Federal do Pará (Federal University of Pará), with CAPES finance through Pro-Equipment Program. Therefore, the study is directed towards realizing whether the processing of acquisitions occurs with celerity; whether the paid prices optimize the public budget and whether the purchased products fulfill the aspirations of the research community. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, the study methodology has an applied nature with the purpose of generating knowledge and applying it to solve problems; also, it is descriptive for it observes and interprets facts, and exploratory since this is an unfamiliar area. The research was constructed in a bibliographical and documentary nature, being classified as a case study. In addition, possesses quantitative and qualitative approach, with collected data being interpreted through objective and subjective measurements. The project structure is divided into seven sections: Introduction; Description of the Organization Context; Theoretical Background; Contextualization of Investments in the Research Area; Research Methodology; Procedures for collecting, processing and analyzing data; Discussion of Results and Final considerations. Finally, it is concluded that, with the results acquired, the research objectives were achieved and may constitute a management tool for the improvement of purchase processes
