Through this work, we analyses the dimensions of the formation that it is being effective by the program is an important investment in the formation of the field, in its present level of development, the breaks are still a little evident with the practice of the educational system and the about the agriculture family can only be felt through the institutionalization of the parallel processes that make feasible the presence of the families and the new generations of the earth Nas diretrizes curriculares do Programa de formação baseado na Pedagogia da Alternância, denominado Escola Família Agrícola de Marabá, está expressa a suposição de que este pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar, por estar alçado metodologicamente numa proposição que superaria aquela praticada pelas escolas vinculadas ao sistema de educação pública, ou seja, o percurso pedagógico ocorreira a partir das experiências desenvolvidas no processo sócio-produtivo dos jovens e, em consequência disso, dar-se-ia a requalificaçãodo papel da família no processo formativo. Através deste trabalho, analisamos as dimensões da formação que vem sendo efetivadas pelo programa, tomando como central a análise do papel atribuído à educação e ao conteúdo da categoria trabalho.
