In this view, the Agroecology has an important contribution because it relates the technological model to the productive aspects, environmental, social and economic, including gender relationships. This study analyses production and reproduction strategies of familial agriculture, identifying potentialities and limits for the development of sustainable agro systems and to the fair gender relationship. This strategies research was made among land workers (men and women), from the region of Abaetetuba – Pará, participants of the Center – “Tecnologias Alternativas Tipiti”. With the result of this research, we found out that the familial agricultural strategies turn to the construction of the agroecologic sustainability instead of the gender equality. This is because of the poor understanding that the transformation of the technological standard has to be related to men and women performance and social position, and that themselves are able to change. We hope to help this process with this study. A revelação dos aspectos negativos da modernização da agricultura sobre mulheres, homens meio ambiente, levou a necessidade de desenvolver formas alternativas de produção de alimentos stabelecendo novas relações com os ecossistemas locais. Nesta perspectiva, a agroecologia tem mais importante contribuição, por relacionar o modelo tecnológico aos aspectos produtivos, mbientais, econômico e sociais, incluindo as relações de gênero. Este estudo trata de analisar as estratégias de produção e reprodução da agricultura familiar, identificando limites e potencialidades para o desenvolvimento de agroecossistemas sustentáveis e para o alcance de relações humanas mais eqüitativas. O levantamento dessas estratégias foi realizado junto aos agricultores e ,agricultoras da região de terra firme em Abaetetuba -Pará, participantes do Centro de Tecnologias Aternativas Tipiti. Como resultado desta pesquisa tem-se que as estratégias da agricultura familiar ,vançam mais para a construção da sustentabilidade agroecológica do que para o alcance da eqüidade de gênero, pela pouca compreensão de que a transformação do padrão tecnológico deve estar associada à percepção dos papéis e posições ocupadas por homens e mulheres, e que estes, também são passiveis de alterações.
