The place where we developed our study is the School Center in Learning and Development Percepcion (CEADEP), where I have been teaching for 12 years. To develop our purpose, we started from the problematization of the uses, from a heritage perspective, of places / objects / monuments / memory spaces in the city of Castanhal in Pará. spaces of memory, we propose to reflect on historical time (past and present) and problematize them as narratives that emerged as stories of the city, from then onwards we glimpse the possibility of bringing about other narratives. We culminated in the proposition of remembrance of the city using sources available in the personal collections of students, who, in collaboration with their families, made available as a solution for implementing the propositional dimension of this dissertation, the Family Portal, allowing the students themselves to assume the protagonism of the stories told. The use of digital tools to publicize photographs made it possible for them to perceive different forms of treatment and manipulation of photographic records over time, allowing them to analyze how to conserve this type of source, in addition to enabling readings of changes and permanencies that occurred in the city, disputes over what should or should not be remembered, social, political and economic conflicts, as well as perceived forms of appropriation and installation of their families in the city, and the care that must be taken when dealing with historical sources. Esta dissertação demonstrou a possibilidade de construção e utilização da história local a partir da leitura de fontes primárias dos alunos, as fotografias, como meio de facilitar a compreensão dos conteúdos de História. O lugar onde desenvolvemos nosso estudo é o Colégio Centro de Aprendizagem e Desenvolvimento Percepção (CEADEP), no qual atuo como docente há 12 anos. Para desenvolvermos nosso propósito, partimos da problematização dos usos, em perspectiva patrimonial, de lugares/objetos/monumentos/espaços de memória da cidade de Castanhal no Pará. Através da realização de estudos das fontes históricas oficiais do município e do uso dos espaços apropriados coletivamente como espaços de memória, nos propomos a refletir sobre tempo histórico (passado e presente) e problematizamos as narrativas que surgiram como histórias da cidade, a partir de então vislumbramos a possibilidade de fazer surgir outras narrativas. Culminamos na proposição de rememoração da cidade utilizando para tal as fontes disponíveis em acervos pessoais dos discentes que, em colaboração com seus familiares, disponibilizaram as mesmas para a execução da dimensão propositiva desta dissertação, o Portal da família, permitindo que os próprios discentes assumissem o protagonismo das histórias contadas. O uso das ferramentas digitais para publicização das fotografias, possibilitou que pudessem perceber as diferentes formas de tratamento e manipulação de registros fotográficos ao longo do tempo, permitindo analisar as formas de conservação deste tipo de fonte, além de possibilitar as leituras de mudanças e permanências ocorridas na cidade, as disputas operadas pelo que deve ou não ser lembrado, os conflitos sociais, políticos e econômicos, bem como permitiu perceber as formas de apropriação e instalação de suas famílias na cidade e o cuidado que se deve ter ao lidar com fontes históricas.
