It contributes greatly to the scientific literature, since large amounts of data can be taken from the collections. For this reason, this paper presents the analysis and classification of archaeological material from the municipalities of Prainha and Almerim and its surroundings, which is in the Technical Reserve of the Archaeology Department of MPEG. The material in question was donated by different collectors who, passing through the region, collected samples in an unsystematic way. Six collections were identified, totaling 2670 ceramic fragments, 07 lithic fragments, and 04 statuettes. The ceramic material was analyzed in detail allowing the identification of differences between the pottery from this region. O estudo das coleções de museus, se dá desde a antiguidade clássica como fonte de informações acerca do desenvolvimento da história humana. Contribui grandemente à literatura científica, pois das coleções podem ser retiradas grandes quantidades de dados. Por esta razão, o presente trabalho apresenta a análise e classificação do material arqueológico proveniente dos Municípios de Prainha e Almerim e do seu entorno,que encontra-se na Reserva Técnica da Área de Arqueologia do MPEG .O material em questão foi doado por diferentes coletores que, de passagem pela região, recolheram amostras de forma assistemática. Foram identificadas 06 coleções que perfazem um total de 2670 fragmentos de cerâmica, 07 fragmentos líticos e 04 estatuetas.
