The exodus of a large part of the families practicing Judaism, the consequent disorganization of this community and the conversion of the remaining ones to Christianity, the cemetery fell into disuse. The tombstones, most of which were written in Hebrew, lost their meaning with the death of the oldest ones who still spoke the language. O trabalho aqui apresentado envolveu a limpeza do espaço cemiterial e dos túmulos, o registro gráfico e fotográfico do espaço, a tradução. O êxodo de grande parte das famílias praticantes do judaísmo, a consequente desestruturação desta comunidade e a conversão dos remanescentes ao cristianismo, o cemitério entrou em desuso.
