SAF's in three chapters, the first is dedicated to reviewing the topic, the second aims to characterize the agroforestry systems identified in the municipality and the third will describe the municipal public policies and the implementation of SAF in a rural community in the territory of. Paragominas - Pa. To perform this work, a field research was conducted to collect data through a semi-structured questionnaire, which was applied to 309 families from 32 rural locations in Paragominas, which included questions related to the theme. such as: property characterization, presence or absence SAFs, species components of the system, production resulting from SAFs, production area, social organization, economic aspects, public policies and environmental aspects. The research identified some bottlenecks faced by farmers in agroforestry systems in the municipality, which stand out: the lack of adequate technical assistance and periodic frequency; the low educational level of farmers; the lack of documentation of land by most farmers; the lack of verticalization of production; the lack of diversification of marketing; bad roads and; low access to credit. However, despite the difficulties the producers and their respective SAFs studied have numerous positive results, especially in the social and environmental sphere, such as: most producers are part of some kind of social organization; most have already participated in some kind of technical training; Most of the production is marketed at fairs and in the local community, bringing producers and end consumers closer, reducing costs and consequently the price of the product, generating gains for both sides; low frequency of chemical use and; diversification of production, which brings year-round income to the families involved. The second stage of the work was built from bibliographic and documentary research to describe the public policies of Agroforestry Systems in the municipality and was also dedicated to the description of strategic actions of implementation of governmental SAF, such as Pará Forestry, Sustainable Rural Programs , Pronaf and actions of the Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture through the creation of the participatory Demonstration Unit of Agroforestry Systems - UDSAF in the Nazaré community, where several actions were developed as workshops, culminating in the holding of a Field Day for the dissemination of results Os sistemas agroflorestais podem ser considerados como uma forma de agricultura mais sustentável, exercendo um papel fundamental na busca de garantia de segurança alimentar e nutricional, da conservação e melhoria ambiental e na luta contra a pobreza rural, neste sentido o presente trabalho realizou uma análise dos SAF’s em três capítulos, o primeiro se fez uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema, o segundo teve como objetivo caracterizar os sistemas agroflorestais identificados no município de Paragominas e o terceiro descreveu as políticas públicas municipais e a implantação de SAF em uma comunidade rural de Paragominas - Pa. Para a realização deste trabalho foi realizada pesquisa de campo para a coleta de dados, através de um questionário semi-estruturado, o qual foi aplicado junto a 309 famílias de 32 localidades rurais de Paragominas, onde foram incluídas questões relacionadas à temática, como: caracterização da propriedade, presença ou ausência dos SAF’s, espécies componentes do sistema, produção resultante dos SAF’s, área de produção, organização social, aspectos econômicos, políticas públicas e vertentes ambientais. A pesquisa identificou alguns gargalos enfrentados pelos produtores em sistemas agroflorestais no município, dos quais se destacam: a falta de assistência técnica adequada e com frequência periódica; o baixo nível de escolaridade dos agricultores; a falta de documentação da terra por parte da maioria dos agricultores; a falta de verticalização da produção; a falta de diversificação da comercialização; estradas ruins e; o baixo acesso a crédito. Porém, apesar das dificuldades os produtores e seus respectivos SAF’s estudados apresentam inúmeros resultados positivos, principalmente na esfera social e ambiental, tais quais: a maioria dos produtores fazem parte de algum tipo de organização social; a maioria já participou de algum tipo de capacitação técnica; a maior parte da produção é comercializada em feiras e na comunidade local, o que aproxima produtor e consumidor final, diminui custos e consequentemente o preço do produto, gerando ganhos para ambos os lados; baixo índice de frequência de uso de produtos químicos e; diversificação da produção, o que traz renda durante o ano todo para as famílias envolvidas. A segunda etapa do trabalho foi construída a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental para descrição das políticas públicas de Sistemas Agroflorestais no município e se dedicou também à descrição das ações estratégicas de implantação de SAF de cunho governamental, a exemplo dos Programas Pará Florestal, Rural Sustentável, Pronaf e ações da Secretaria Municipal de Agricultura através da criação da Unidade Demonstrativa participativa de Sistemas Agroflorestais – UDSAF na comunidade Nazaré, onde foram desenvolvido várias ações como oficinas, culminando com a realização de um Dia de Campo para a divulgação dos resultados.
