The specific objectives are: to verify how the reader training process takes place in the Avertano Rocha Library, Identify the position of the users about the importance of the Avertano Library for their reading training and to know the position of the librarian about the formation of readers in the library. The methodology adopted for this study was a bibliographical research to theoretically base the research and the field research was of the quanti-qualitative type, and the tools adopted to obtain the data were questionnaires and interviews applied to the librarian and to the users, besides request Of projects that are developed in the institution. It was found that in BPMAR there is a training of readers, but with projects aimed mainly at the young students of the district of Icoaraci to the detriment of other social segments for which there are projects, but that are not sufficient or adequate to attract significant amount of users Adults and seniors to the Library. Este estudo objetiva verificar se a formação de leitores na Biblioteca Pública Avertano Rocha, do município de Belém do Pará, é eficiente, tornando leitora, a população assistida, tanto no ambiente da biblioteca como fora dela, no seu dia a dia. Os objetivos específicos são: verificar como se dá o processo de formação de leitores na Biblioteca Avertano Rocha, Identificar o posicionamento dos usuários sobre a importância da Biblioteca Avertano para sua formação leitora e conhecer o posicionamento do bibliotecário sobre a formação de leitores na biblioteca. A metodologia adotada para este estudo foi uma pesquisa bibliográfica para fundamentar teoricamente a pesquisa e a pesquisa de campo foi do tipo quanti-qualitativa, e as ferramentas adotadas para a obtenção dos dados foram questionários e entrevistas aplicados à bibliotecária e aos usuários, além de solicitação de cópia dos projetos que são desenvolvidos na instituição. Constatou-se, que na BPMAR existe formação de leitores, porém com projetos voltados principalmente aos jovens estudantes do distrito de Icoaraci em detrimento de outros seguimentos sociais, para os quais existem projetos, mas que não são suficientes ou adequados para atrair quantidade significativa de usuários adultos e idosos à Biblioteca. 2017-09-13T13:59:13Z 2017-09-13T13:59:13Z 2017 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação SANTOS, Paulo Skip Sodré dos.
