Describes the practices of reading incentive used in the school library, Clarice Lispector at the Municipal school Dr. Lauro Chaves located in the Baia do sol Mosqueiro-PA and the role of the librarian as a mediator and encourage the reading, being the link that connects the reader to read in the school library, focusing on strategies to encourage reading for contribution in the formation of the student, and the development of reader-critical and reflective, addressing the mediation of reading as a tool for the librarian in the process of reading incentive in the day-to-day life of the students Was carried out a documentary research aiming to understand the reading strategies practiced in the Library, Clarice Lispector managed by the Municipal System of Libraries (SISMUBE),responsible for the transformation of the libraries into a welcoming space, offering access to reading to the students, faculty, and area surrounding, more dynamic and attractive. This stimulation occurs through a variety of actions aimed at encouraging reading. Points out that the incentive to reading in the family environment is important since childhood and allows you to create to encourage the pleasure of reading for a lifetime. It is concluded that the professional librarian should explore your potential, be linked to teachers acting in partnership so that they can introduce the reading strategies in the routine of the students for the training of readers. It should also develop actions in favor of the school library so that it can meet the needs of its users, and can be a location favorable to the practice of reading for all ages and encourage you with projects if needed parents or guardians of students to obtain a satisfactory result.
