The purpose of the research is to verify how the use of Facebook by the Central Library Prof. Dr. Clodoaldo Beckmann contributes to the communication and dissemination of its products and services, we also seek to investigate the presence of its users in the social network and identify if they know the page of the Library on Facebook and how they evaluate it. The research is exploratory with a qualitative approach, through the application of a questionnaire to sixty users and an interview with the person in charge of managing social media in the Library. The results show that 95% of the public makes use of the social network, however 58% of them did not know the Facebook page of the Library, but in relation to the public who know 92% of them have already used some product or service due to disclosures seen by them on Facebook. About the Central Library, we find that the Institution believes that social networks such as Facebook can contribute to improving the mediation of information and the quality of services and products offered to the public. |
