Its general objective is to develop a study on school libraries of the Public State Education Network of the State of Pará, to better clarify their roles in the educational context and, as specific objectives, to explore concepts of school libra ry recognized in the literature; Present the situational picture of a certain sampling, represented by two school libraries of the educational network in question, besides analyzing if the studied information units fulfill their role of school library. For that, an exploratory research was carried out, which involved bibliographical, documentary and case study research. With the condition that for the data collection during the case study was accomplished observation and application of questionnaire with qualitative approach. From the analysis of the data, it was concluded that the resources available to the school libraries, such as: infrastructure, informational, human and financial resources, are not sufficient to support the teaching-learning of the students, what can certainly prejudice their intellectual and social progression. Apresenta conceitos de biblioteca escolar e os recursos considerados necessários para a atuação deste espaço pedagógico dentro das instituições de ensino, além disso, expõe de que maneira a legislação brasileira dá amparo legal à existência de biblioteca dentro das instituições de ensino, e ainda quais são os parâmetros mínimos recomendados para o funcionamento desse espaço pedagógico. Tem como objetivo geral, desenvolver estudo sobre bibliotecas escolares da Rede Pública Estadual de Ensino do Pará, para melhor esclarecer seus papéis no contexto educacional, e como objetivos específicos, explorar conceitos de biblioteca escolar reconhecidos na literatura; apresentar o quadro situacional de certa amostragem, representada por duas bibliotecas escolares da rede de ensino em questão, além de analisar se as unidades de informação estudadas cumprem seu papel de biblioteca escolar. Para tanto, realizou-se pesquisa exploratória, a qual envolveu pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e estudo de caso. Sendo que para a coleta de dados durante o estudo de caso realizou-se observação e aplicação de questionário com abordagem qualitativa. A partir da análise dos dados, concluiu-se que os recursos, dos quais as bibliotecas escolares estudadas dispõem, tais como: infraestrutura, recursos informacionais, humanos e financeiros, não são suficientes para de fato auxiliar o ensino – aprendizagem dos alunos, o que pode prejudicar a formação pessoal e acadêmica destes, havendo prejuízos ao desenvolvimento da sociedade. 2017-10-30T17:18:50Z 2017-10-30T17:18:50Z 2017 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação GONÇALVES, Benedita do Socorro da Silva.
