When they didn’t want to surrender to the sacrifices of the labour imposed by their owners, they ran away and formed, with other escaped slaves, shelters in the forest called quilombos. The present academic paper aimed to analyze the memory and the cultural heritage, indicating the relevance of the artifacts left by slaves, like the mortar of one family in the Traditional Community of Muraiteua and another objects, like one pot or pan and one well in the Quilombola Community of Rural and Riparian Producers of Canta Galo, both situated in the town of São Miguel do Guamá, state of Pará. While there exists an affective bond between the objects and some individuals in these territories, until now, there are no projects that aim the The conscientiousness over the preservation of these pieces in both communities, as they are relevant to the local memory. Texts written by O’Dwyer and Thomson served as the basis for the comprehension of the field experience perspective. The study revels that are possibilities of working memories and heritages in these communities. A história do negro na formação da identidade cultural no Brasil possui um papel relevante. No Estado do Pará o negro tinha como missão servidão ao trabalho escravo, quando não queria se entregar aos sacrifícios dos ofícios impostos por seus donos, fugia e formava com demais escravos abrigos nas matas denominados de quilombos. O presente trabalho monográfico tem como objetivo analisar a memória e patrimônio cultural situando a relevância dos artefatos deixados pelos escravos, como o almofariz de uma família na Comunidade Tradicional do Muraiteua e outros objetos como um tacho ou panela e um poço, na comunidade Quilombola de Produtores Rurais e Ribeirinhos do Canta Galo, ambos situados no município de São Miguel do Guamá, Estado do Pará. Apesar de existir um elo afetivo com os objetos partindo de alguns indivíduos nestes territórios, até o momento não há a existência de projeto que visem a conscientização sobre a preservação dessas peças em ambas as comunidades, já que são relevantes para a memória local. Os textos de O’Dwyer e Thomson serviram como base para a compreensão da perspectiva da experiência em campo.
