The study is setting in the field of Pragmatic, which will be discussed during this paper. It was used as theoretical reference to the analysis of corpus, the theory of conversational implicatures of Herbert Paul Grice (1982), showing the difference between the meaning of the speaker, that is, what the speaker left implicit (non said), and the meaning of the sentence, being that is explicit (said). It will be approached, still, the cooperative principle constituted by a group of conversational maxims, which are: quality, quantity, relation and mode. The paper will keep showing the context of the appearance of charges, the analysis related to the violation, and after with the final considerations. O presente artigo tem como objetivo principal analisar a violação das máximas conversacionais em tirinhas da personagem Mafalda, apontando a geração de implicaturas, e qual o efeito de sentido que elas produzem no contexto comunicativo. O estudo situa-se no campo da pragmática, o qual será discutido no decorrer do trabalho. Utilizou-se como fundamentação teórica para a análise do corpus, a teoria das Implicaturas conversacionais de Herbert Paul Grice (1982), mostrando diferença entre o significado do falante, ou seja, aquilo que o mesmo deixa implícito (o não dito), e o significado da sentença, sendo aquilo que está explícito (o dito). Será abordado ainda o Princípio cooperativo, constituído em um conjunto de máximas conversacionais, são elas: qualidade, quantidade, relação e modo.
