It has the objective of demonstrating the results of the lack of a trained professional working in the place, since it is often replaced by another professional, teachers and pedagogues, for example. The research methodology used is a qualitative and descriptive field research. Held in the library of the Municipal School Professor Rita Nery, located in the neighborhood of Tenoné, which serves children from 4 to 5 years old. The survey was conducted with site visits 2 times a week for 1 month. Describes the operation of the library, such as schedule, collection, public, and activities developed with users. Apresenta estudo sobre a biblioteca infantil, aborda o papel da biblioteca na vida de seus usuários reunindo informações de como deve ser o funcionamento uma biblioteca voltada para esse público. Quais devem ser seus serviços e atividades desenvolvidas e como pode ser usada uma brinquedoteca. Possui o objetivo de demonstrar os resultados da falta de um profissional capacitado trabalhando no local, pois é frequentemente substituído por outro profissional, professores e pedagogos, por exemplo. Trata-se de pesquisa de campo do tipo descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa, realizada por meio de estudo de caso na biblioteca da escola Municipal Professora Rita Nery, localizada no bairro do Tenoné, que atende crianças de 4 a 5 anos de idade. A pesquisa foi realizada com visitas ao local 2 vezes por semana durante 1 mês.
