The Círio de Nazaré is a traditional celebration that has its main mission in Belém in October, officially, since 1793. It had its Register as an Intangible Heritage held in 2004. The spectacle Auto do Círio, created in 1993 by teachers of the Federal University of Pará as a form of occupation the streets of Cidade Velha honoring Nossa Senhora de Nazaré through art; It is already part of the cultural agenda of the Círio festivities, being known for being a cultural event that attracts thousands of people on the friday that precedes the main procession: Círio de Nazaré. The present work aims to recover and organize the information about the construction of the Heritage that is the Auto do Círio, allowing the study on the patrimonial character that can be analyzed also by Museology. |
