Resumo:
With the increasing use of smartphones, mobile applications have become more evident in the most varied contexts, with several possibilities of application. Within the educational context, such tools can serve as allies in the inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in higher education. These students need adaptations that consider their characteristics and difficulties to ensure the opportunity to pursue their academic activities efficiently. In this process, the role of the teacher is essential, and the adoption of educacional strategies that consider their peculiarities can produce positive effects in the learning process. Therefore, the following work resulted in the development of an application for Android phones with the purpose to provide information to teachers of Federal University of Pará about the teaching of autistic students. The purpose of the application is provide access to key information about autism and facilitate communication with the Accessibility Coordination, which is responsible to provide support to students with autism and special needs in institution. In the first part of the test, interviews were conducted with five professors from the Faculty of Computing and two members of the Accessibility Coordination, where information was collected about their main difficulties in the teaching process, quality of service and desired functionalities in a informational application. In the second part of the study, a practical test was conducted with the teachers to collect usage data from application and improvements suggestions. Regarding the results obtained in this project, it was possible to conclude that the application meets the majority of the interviewees desires, presenting functionalities that relief the communication between teachers and Accessibility Coordination, which reduces the bureaucracy present in teacher's support in the education of autistic students.
