Resumo:
Focuses bibliotherapy as a supporting tool in the treatment of people with the autism spectrum disorder (ASD), by using the reading of appropriate texts and indicated by a biblioterapêuta that in view of the principle of interdisciplinarity of bibliotherapy, works in partnership with the other areas of professionals depending on the institution where it will be implemented, and in this study the interaction occurred with two teachers of elementary school public school they have in their classrooms students with autism. Denotes bibliotherapy as a way to promote behavior change, aimed at better social adjustment of the autistic individual through self-knowledge provided by identification with the characters and reflection performed on the indicated texts. Use as a methodology, as well as bibliographic research, data collection through a questionnaire aimed at teachers of elementary school public school. It concludes that reading plays a fundamental and essential role in shaping the character, the socialization of the individual and his world view.
