The methodology used was qualitative, covering the bibliographical review, which proposed the analysis of the Thematic Section "Fight - Mourning" of the Motrivivência Magazine - 2016, the documentary research (BNCC, PNE and LDB) and semi - structured interview, the direction of the School of Application, the coordination of Elementary School and two physical education teachers who teach classes for this level of education. For the treatment of the data we use the Content Analysis of Bardin (2009) in which we organize the material, to then describe it analytically to finally work on the interpretation of the data. The text proposes a discussion, with a view to the reflection on the positions and criticism of the authors regarding the said subject, then enters the analysis of the interviews revealing the possible scenario of the locus of investigation, highlighting its implantation and possible consequences for the Basic Education. The analysis of the results led us to infer that the theme in question reveals a scenario of disputes about conceptions of curriculum, education, learning and even the role of the school in the current context. With regard to physical education, we are concerned about its possible bottleneck in the curricular core of languages, which includes one of the two most privileged curricular components - the Portuguese Language. Other points that draw attention to us is the incoherence and lack of logic in what concerns the distribution and orientation of the contents to be worked, both Infant and Elementary; the contradiction of BNCC's understanding of body culture and its true meaning, by suppressing the contextualization of the contents listed, focusing on the learning of the technique O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar como está se desenvolvendo o processo de adaptação e adequação da BNCC na Escola de Aplicação da UFPA, com ênfase na disciplina educação física do ensino fundamental séries iniciais. A metodologia utilizada foi de cunho qualitativo abrangendo a revisão bibliográfica, a qual propusemos a análise da Seção Temática “Luta – Luto” da Revista Motrivivência – 2016, a pesquisa documental (BNCC, PNE e LDB) e entrevista semiestruturada, na qual tivemos como sujeitos a direção da Escola de Aplicação, a coordenação do Ensino Fundamental Séries Iniciais e dois professores de educação física que ministram aulas para esse nível de ensino. Para o tratamento dos dados utilizamos a Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin (2009) no qual organizamos o material, para então descrevê-lo analiticamente para, enfim trabalharmos na interpretação dos dados. O texto propõe uma discussão, com vista à reflexão sobre os posicionamentos e crítica dos autores no que concerne à referida temática, depois adentra a análise das entrevistas desvelando o possível cenário do lócus de investigação, ressaltando sua implantação e possíveis consequências para a Educação Básica. A análise dos resultados nos levou a inferir que o tema em questão desvela um cenário de disputas de concepções de currículo, de educação, de aprendizagem e, inclusive, do papel da escola no contexto atual. No que concerne à educação física nos preocupa o fato de seu possível estrangulamento no núcleo curricular de linguagens, que comporta um dos dois mais privilegiados componentes curriculares – a Língua Portuguesa.
