Consider the suggestion of the National Curriculum Parameters ( PCN ) concerning the treatment of information as well as the state school curriculum proposal that led us to do something more for teachers and students of the school in terms of reading, interpreting , analyzing and organizing data , variables considered essential for both teachers and learners . The investigation included workshops on information addressed to 16 teachers in a public school , and a class of 30 students of the 5th year of elementary school , which occurred from March 2012 to August 2013 treatments. The results point to the resourcefulness of teachers and students in relation to reading, construction and interpretation of graphs. Both knew how to seize the opportunity that stock PIBID gave them, because all the teachers involved in the workshops go by math class. Students study subjects had good performance in the suggested activities and Provinha Brazil . The information processing with concrete materials helped greatly in learning the technique and understanding of the importance of this study in school programs. A presente pesquisa incide diretamente na formação de professores e alunos acerca da problemática do ensino e da aprendizagem de construção e análises de dados de gráficos e tabelas nas séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental realizada no âmbito do Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID). Consideramos a sugestão dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) a respeito do Tratamento da Informação, bem como a proposta curricular da escola estadual que nos levou a fazer algo mais pelos professores e alunos da escola em termos de leitura, interpretação, análise e organização de dados, variáveis consideradas essenciais tanto para professores quanto para educandos. A investigação contou com oficinas sobre tratamentos da informação dirigida a 16 professores de uma escola estadual, e uma turma de 30 alunos do 5° ano do ensino fundamental, as quais ocorreram no período de março de 2012 a agosto de 2013. Os resultados apontam para a desenvoltura dos professores e dos alunos frente à leitura, construção e interpretações de gráficos. Ambos souberam aproveitar a oportunidade que os bolsistas do PIBID lhes deram, pois todos os professores envolvidos nas oficinas passaram a ministrar aula de matemática. Os alunos sujeitos da pesquisa tiveram bom rendimento nas atividades sugeridas e na Provinha Brasil.
