A qualitative research was conducted using semi-structured questionnaires and interviews with open dialogues with teachers and students enrolled in the modular system for data collection. The emergence of SOME was due to the need to expand Brazilian basic education aiming at a training policy for young people and adults from the countryside who have the desire to achieve a qualification through high school. This paper aims to discuss the contribution of SOME to Rural Education in the reflection of educational policy in the formation of rural students. Focusing on the process of formation from SOME, we ask: how or not SOME contributes to the formation of rural education and does it respond to the training needs of rural youth? Given this, I present as a result the challenges faced by students and teachers new to SOME; the contribution of Modular Education in Guarumã village and the important role of SOME in the social inclusion of rural students through Rural Education. Este artigo tem como objeto de estudo a política de Educação do Campo em especial, o Ensino Médio Modular no Campo, a produção se dá no contexto da Vila Guarumã no município de Acará localizada a 18 km de distância da sede municipal; estuda o Sistema de Organização Modular de Ensino (SOME). Fez-se uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativa utilizando questionários semiestruturados e entrevistas com diálogos abertos com professores e alunos ingressos no sistema modular para coleta de dados. O surgimento do SOME se deu pela necessidade de ampliar a educação básica brasileira visando uma política de formação para jovens e adultos oriundos do campo que tem o desejo de alcançar uma qualificação através do Ensino Médio. Este trabalho visa discorrer sobre a contribuição do SOME para a Educação do Campo no reflexo da política educacional na formação dos alunos do campo. Com foco no processo de formação a partir do SOME, indagamos: de que maneira o SOME contribui ou não na formação da Educação do Campo e, ele responde as necessidades de formação da juventude do campo?
