This work aims to demonstrate the meaning of life of the character Simão Botelho in Amor de Perdição, by Camilo Castelo Branco, based on Logotherapy, bringing it closer to literature. Therefore, the research is bibliographical in nature and has a theoretical foundation, bulletin, centered on Literature with authors such as Moisés (2006), Vechi (1994) and, later, a research addresses logotherapy with the help from the founding author of the psychotherapeutic theory Frankl (2005). At this juncture, the character's meaning of life is located on two levels, the first materializing in the revolutionary Simão who finds the meaning of life in the Jacobin doctrine and in the convictions of figures such as Mirabeau, Danton, Robespierre and the second meaning of life of the young man materializes in the plane of love for a fifteen-yearold girl named Tereza de Albuquerque.
