The work was structured in two phases: in the first, a bibliographic survey, material records, study sessions; in addition to planning actions in the classrocm. In the second phase, pedagogical practices were carried out in the context of the classroom, such as assisting the teacher in dialogued expository classes, accompanying students in their work, contributing to the elaboration of didactic resources, among others. It is concluded that the Monitoring Project in higher education helps the initial teacher training, considering that it allows the preparation for teaching, expands the construction of knowledge and the skills of the studentmonitor. As well as contributed to the formation of the student in the construction of her professional identity and her future teaching practice. O presente artigo busca relatar as experiências de monitoria no ensino superior na disciplina Educação Especial Inclusiva, destacando o papel do monitor na formação do estudante de pedagogia e suas contribuições para a futura docência. O trabalho se estruturou em duas fases: na primeira foi realizado levantamento bibliográfico, fichamento de materiais, sessões de estudo; além do planejamento das ações em sala de aula. Na segunda fase foram executadas as práticas pedagógicas no contexto da sala de aula, como por exemplo: auxiliar o professor nas aulas expositivas dialogadas, acompanhar os alunos nos trabalhos, contribuir na elaboração dos recursos didáticos, entres outros. Conclui-se que o Projeto de Monitoria no ensino superior auxilia a formação inicial docente, considerando que permite o preparo para a docência, amplia a construção de conhecimentos e as habilidades do estudante-monitor.
