Therefore, this work portrays a research that had as general objective to present the importance of teaching mathematics through games. For this, a bibliographic research was carried out that made it possible to understand that the use of games in the classroom contributed to the formation of a new concept of teaching, where the student learns in a pleasant way, interacting with the teacher and his colleagues, deconstructing the frightening aspect that often characterizes and stereotypes the Mathematics discipline. In addition, the information acquired throughout this work allowed it to be possible to propose some games capable of contributing to the teacher's methodology to work on the necessary skills in the formation of a habit and concise student in the resolution of problem-situations. It was also possible to create a lesson plan to demonstrate what a class would be like in which the main methodological resource was the game. O ensino de Matemática, deve entre outras tarefas, proporcionar ao aluno aprimorar a sua capacidade de resolver problemas e/ou situações cotidianas, as quais lhe exijam um maior teor de raciocínio lógico e outras habilidades que lhe ajudarão na busca de soluções. Diante disso, este trabalho retrata uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo geral apresentar a importância do ensino da matemática por meio de jogos. Para isto, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica que possibilitou a compreensão de que a utilização de jogos na sala de aula contribui para a formação de um novo conceito de ensino, onde o aluno aprende de forma prazerosa, interagindo com o professor e seus colegas, desconstruindo o aspecto assustador que caracteriza e estereotipa muitas vezes a disciplina Matemática. Além disso, as informações adquiridas ao longo deste trabalho, permitiu que fosse possível propor alguns jogos capazes de contribuir com a metodologia do professor para trabalhar as habilidades necessárias na formação de um aluno hábil e conciso na resolução de situações-problemas.
