In this context, the present research sought to identify such elements, and as for the specific objectives, the chosen themes were systematized (document management, archival information management and information literacy), the relationships arising from the identified elements were presented and finally Standards and indicators were established for the archivist's performance in the management of archival information. The study was developed through a bibliographic research, in databases, scientific journals and annals of events and by the comparative method between the chosen themes. As initial results, four types of relationship were presented, namely: Historical relations; Relations from the user; Relations from the archivist; and Relations from the archival information management. From this, five standards and indicators were elaborated in order to guide the activities and the performance evaluation of the information archivist before the archival information management. A partir das discussões pós-modernas quanto ao atual paradigma arquivístico e da inserção da Competência em Informação na atuação do arquivista, surge o questionamento, objetivado nesta pesquisa, acerca de quais elementos da Competência em Informação são relevantes ao arquivista frente a Gestão da Informação Arquivística. Nesse contexto, a presente pesquisa buscou identificar tais elementos, e quanto aos objetivos específicos, sistematizou-se as temáticas elegidas (gestão de documentos, gestão da informação arquivística e competência em informação), apresentou-se as relações provindas dos elementos identificados e por fim estabeleceu-se padrões e indicadores para a performance do arquivista frente a gestão da informação arquivística. O estudo foi desenvolvido por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, em bases de dados, periódicos científicos e anais de eventos e pelo método comparativo entre as temáticas elegidas. Como resultados iniciais, apresentou-se quatro tipos de relações, a saber: Relações históricas; Relações a partir do usuário; Relações a partir do arquivista; e Relações a partir da gestão da informação arquivística.
