This work aims to identify preservation practices in the UFPA Central Archive, from data collection, information, interviews, photos of the place and direct observation. A brief history of the origin of the paper, its constitution and evolution, preservation and conservation practices, as well as the history of the founding of the Central Archive were presented. For that, a descriptive analysis was used as a method, as well as bibliographical research and in loco data collection. Preservation practices in the
Central Archive are efficient, despite the perceived limitations, for which improvements have been suggested, such as the consolidation of a document preservation laboratory and repairs located in the physical space of the collection. |
