A brief history of the origin of the paper, its constitution and evolution, preservation and conservation practices, as well as the history of the founding of the Central Archive were presented. For that, a descriptive analysis was used as a method, as well as bibliographical research and in loco data collection. Preservation practices in the Central Archive are efficient, despite the perceived limitations, for which improvements have been suggested, such as the consolidation of a document preservation laboratory and repairs located in the physical space of the collection. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar as práticas de preservação no Arquivo Central da UFPA a partir de coleta de dados, informações, entrevistas, fotos do lugar e observação direta. Apresentou-se um breve histórico da origem do papel, sua constituição e evolução, práticas de preservação e conservação, bem como o histórico da fundação do Arquivo Central. Para tanto, utilizou-se como método a análise descritiva, além de pesquisas bibliográficas e realizou-se coleta de dados in loco. As práticas de preservação no Arquivo Central se mostram eficientes, apesar de serem percebidas limitações, para quais foram sugeridas melhorias como, por exemplo, a consolidação de um laboratório de preservação documental e reparos localizados no espaço físico do acervo. 2022-05-09T19:05:16Z 2022-05-09T19:05:16Z 2019 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação MOURA, Fabrício Junio Santana.
