The research was anchored in an exploratory qualitative approach, whose information was collected through semi-open questionnaires directed to a teacher and her respective students in the 6th year of elementary school. It was found that the period faced with social isolation showed the difficulties and challenges that teachers and students faced in the face of a very different scenario from the usual one that demanded greater engagement from both, due to the rupture in the teacher-student interaction that had existed. It was also verified the need for planning and preparation of classes to be executed remotely, since the didactic material adopted by the school was used, with the planning that was already ready to be used in face-to-face teaching, with only the transposition to the remote mode. O trabalho aborda a temática do ensino-aprendizagem e tem como objetivo geral: analisar o ensino da Matemática durante o isolamento social, por conta da Pandemia da Covid-19, no que concerne ao planejamento, à preparação e execução das atividades de modo remoto, e, como objetivos específicos: descrever a crise sanitária de covid-19 e sua relação com o uso das tecnologias digitais na educação; relacionar o ensino da Matemática antes e em meio à pandemia e compreender as percepções de professores e estudantes durante o período descrito. A pesquisa esteve ancorada em uma abordagem qualitativa exploratória, cujas informações foram coletadas por meio de questionários semiabertos direcionados a uma professora e seus respectivos estudantes do 6o ano do ensino fundamental. Constatou-se que o período enfrentado com o isolamento social deixou à mostra as dificuldades e desafios que professores e estudantes enfrentaram diante de um cenário muito diferente do habitual que exigiu de ambos um engajamento maior, por conta da ruptura na interação professor-estudante que havia na aula presencial.
