In this sense, we directed the research from the general objective, to study the sexual abuse against children and adolescents and its implications for the formative action of the school. As part of the methodological aspects, in addition to deepening the theme using theoretical and documentary references, we also held a brief dialogue with a professional in the area. The references included: the Child and Adolescent Statute (1990), the Education Guidelines and Bases Law (1996), the authors Gabel (1997), Moreira e Silva (1997 apud JESUS, 2008), Faleiros (1998) and Ferreira (2002). As a result, we can say that despite the municipality already having a solid protection network, cases are still imminent, awareness campaigns and policies are not comprehensive to all children and adolescents, and actions aimed at the issue of sexual abuse in school and, in general, in the city are still very small, especially at school they happen sporadically. Thus, it is extremely important that education professionals and researchers give more time and voice to the issue of sexual abuse against children and adolescents in academic and scientific production. In the Basic Education school, the issue needs to be put on the agenda. O presente trabalho trata-se de uma pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, problematizando questões sobre o abuso sexual contra crianças e adolescentes, assim nos propusemos a estudar o abuso sexual desses sujeitos e a atuação da escola enquanto instituição formadora e cidadã. Nesse sentido, nos dirigimos a estudar o abuso sexual contra crianças e adolescentes e suas implicações para a ação formativa da escola. Fazendo parte dos aspectos metodológicos, além do aprofundamento do tema utilizando os referenciais teóricos e documentais, também realizamos um breve diálogo com uma profissional da área. Fizerem parte dos referenciais: o Estatuto da Criança e Adolescente (1990), a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (1996), os autores Gabel (1997), Moreira e Silva (1997 apud JESUS, 2008), Faleiros (1998) e Ferreira (2002). Como resultados podemos dizer que apesar do município já contar com uma sólida rede de proteção, os casos ainda são iminentes, as campanhas e politícas de conscientização não são abrangentes a todas as crianças e adolescentes, e as ações voltadas para a temática do abuso sexual na escola e, de modo geral, na cidade ainda são infímas, especialmente na escola elas acontecem de forma esporádica. Desta forma, é de suma importância que os profissionais da educação e pesquisadores, deêm mais vez e voz ao tema abuso sexual contra crianças e adolescentes na produção acadêmica e científica.
