In this work, analogies were sought from the literary work O Cortiço, by Aluísio de Azevedo, from 1890, and the struggles of women in the 20th century, with the aim of comparing the struggles for survival of female characters in the work “O cortiço” with the struggles current women The development took place through bibliographical research in readings and analyzes based on authors who address the theme, based on the historical and social perspective present in the narrative of the literary work in question. The present work has great relevance for society, and especially for women, as it can serve as a means for them to realize how important the struggle of women is historically, in literature and how this is reflected in their lives today. From this analysis, it was possible to verify that the prejudices directed at women in the 19th century are still suffered today and the struggle for existence grows as society awakens, as female society fights for its rights and equality, and these women's movements, despite all the difficulties, provide social visibility and the conquest of rights, allowing a process of construction of more egalitarian social relations in terms of classes, color and gender. As lutas das mulheres estão presentes em nossa sociedade desde o século passado, e essas lutas continuam ocorrendo com muita intensidade atualmente, podemos perceber que embora diariamente haja muitas mudanças, os problemas continuam na busca por direitos e equidade das mulheres. Buscou-se neste trabalho as analogias da obra literária O Cortiço, de Aluísio de Azevedo, de 1890, e as lutas das mulheres no século XX, com objetivo de comparar as lutas pela sobrevivência de personagens femininas na obra “O cortiço” com as lutas atuais das mulheres O desenvolvimento deu-se por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica em leituras e análises baseadas em autores que abordam sobre o tema, pautado no olhar histórico e social presentes na narrativa da obra literária em questão. O presente trabalho apresenta grande relevância para a sociedade, e em especial às mulheres, pois pode servir de meio para que elas mesmas percebam o quanto é importante a luta das mulheres durante historicamente, na literatura e como isso se refle nas vidas dela hoje. A partir dessa análise, foi possível constatar que os preconceitos direcionados às mulheres no século XIX, ainda são sofridos até hoje e a lutar por existência cresce à medida em que a sociedade se desperta, na medida em que a sociedade feminina luta pelos seus direitos e igualdade, e estes movimentos de mulheres, apesar de todas as dificuldades, propiciam visibilidade social e conquista de direitos, permitindo um processo de construção de relações sociais mais igualitárias em termos de classes, cor e gênero. 2023-01-18T14:02:27Z 2023-01-18T14:02:27Z 2022-11-20 Trabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia NATIVIDADE, Mayara Evangelista.
