The methodology was carried out in two stages: bibliographic research in books and scientific articles and field research, through the observation through data collection with application of questionnaires directed to the multidisciplinary team of the Center for Reference in Educational Inclusion Gabriel Lima Mendes (CRIE) where 21 children with ASD from the municipal education network attend. Based on this research, it is concluded that the lack of reading incentive projects for autistic children highlights the lack of a librarian in this institution to select specific literatures tailored to the needs of these individuals in order to help them achieve good educational results, applying the method of reading that he deems most effective to improve his cognitive and social skills. Apresenta a importância da leitura na socialização de crianças com Transtorno do Espectro autista (TEA) como terapia para otimizar seu aprendizado a relação interpessoal do indivíduo, incentivando sua autonomia e interação social através da biblioterapia, destacando o papel do bibliotecário neste contexto enquanto agente de transformação social na mediação da leitura. A metodologia foi realizada em duas etapas: pesquisa bibliográfica em livros e artigos científicos e pesquisa de campo, através da observação por meio da coleta de dados com aplicação de questionários direcionados à equipe multidisciplinar do Centro de Referência em Inclusão Educacional Gabriel Lima Mendes (CRIE) onde atendem 21 crianças com TEA da rede municipal de educação. A partir desta investigação, conclui-se que a inexistência de projetos de incentivo à leitura para as crianças autistas salienta a falta de um bibliotecário nesta instituição para selecionar literaturas específicas ajustadas às necessidades desses indivíduos de modo a ajudá-los a alcançar bons resultados educativos, aplicando o método de leitura que julgue mais eficaz para melhorar suas competências cognitivas e sociais. 2018-06-25T19:19:37Z 2018-06-25T19:19:37Z 2018 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação SILVA, Claudilene dos Santos.
