Resumo:
This research aimed to understand the influence that playfulness has on the development of autistic children during the early childhood education process. The discussion of the theme was based on articles found through qualitative research of the literature review type and using Google Scholar, SciELO and CAPES journal sites as search tools. As a result, several materials were found that address the theme of playfulness, which mention that playfulness is necessary for children to develop fully, since the application of this methodology in the classroom facilitates the understanding of what is taught and it helps to fix the new knowledge due to the spontaneity with which the content is passed on. In this way, the insertion of games, toys and games in the children's routine makes them learn more pleasantly and effectively. Due to these benefits, the use of playfulness has also been indicated for autistic children who, due to the obstacles caused by the disorder, have difficulties in creating bonds and interacting with other members of the class and carrying out traditional pedagogical activities. Research has shown that this can be considered a method capable of providing a positive impact on early childhood education for autistic children. Because when teaching is adapted to play, the teacher promotes increased communication, imagination and, above all, social interaction.
