Autism entails deficits not perceived development even in early childhood, stage that
playing is a predominant occupation that enhances development. Thus, it is important
that caregivers be encouraged to be aware of strategies that support them to
encourage play with children with autism spectrum disorder. Thus, this study aimed
to investigate an intervention program offered to caregivers promoting increased
promotion of play sets of children with autism and that state of play. A quantitative
research was carried out in which moments of interaction between 7 dyads of
caregivers and children without free play, pre and post intervention were recorded,
which were analyzed according to the categories of play (exploratory, functional and
symbolic and / or set and alone ). The results obtained by: there was an increase in
playing time in most dyads; Functional play was the most present in the pre- and
post-intervention phases; Only one dyad presented symbolic play; And there was
only increase in play together in three dyads. It is concluded that the interventions
that promote play for the caregiver, for the child with ASD are important as they
potentiate healthy development, through a facilitator that enables a motivation of
strategies. Therefore, you may be more motivated with focused interventions to play
the ASD. |
