Objective: investigate the sociodemographic and nutritional profile in patients with
antiTuberculosis pulmonary therapy. Methods: This is a descriptive, crosssectional
study conducted between August / 2018 and june / 2019, which included patients seen
at a health unit in the municipal of BelémPA. Sociodemographics data was sex, age,
schooling and nutritional status from the weight and height record. Results: A total of
72 patients (58.33%), most were men (58,33%), age between 25 and 59 years
(91.67%), with a level of education equal to or greater than 10 yearsofstudy(43.06%).
In relation nutritional status, a condition of eutrophy prevailed among both at the
beginning (men 54.76%, women 63.34%) and the end of treatment (men 64.29%
andwomen 56.67%), with out statistically significant difference. There was statistical
difference between the mean initial and final weight in both sexes. (p = 0.000).
Conclusion: This study showed the prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis in males,
aged between 25 and 59 years, level of education between 10 and 12 years of study.
