In this setting, it is understood the relevance of the occupational therapist to glimpse actions in the daily life that generate possibilities and stimulate potentialities of the subject, in order to favor their engagement in occupations and their occupational performance. The objective of this study was to compare the effect of the combined use of conventional daily life activities (ADLs) and the software intervention with their use on the occupational performance of children with ASD in the activities of brushing, dressing and undressing. This is a qualitative study of a single subject experimental design, based on baseline and post-test analysis in a sample of four children diagnosed with ASD. It was used as research instruments: a) semi-structured interview, b) Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) scale, c) self-care scale included in the Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory Protocol (PEDI), and d) record sheets. This research presented favorable results regarding the gain of functional abilities from the training of the ADLs of dressing, undressing and brushing the teeth in four children with ASD. Although that the conventional training and the combined training were those that presented the best results through teaching, learning and generalization in the activities in question. It is estimated that this study contribute to the systematization of the training of ADLs in children with autism, instigating possibilities of interventions from the computerization added to the conventional intervention. In addition, to enable approximations of Occupational Therapy and analysis of behavior in the therapeutic process. O TEA é um transtorno do desenvolvimento que em meio a um conjunto de sintomas apresentados, desde o início da primeira infância, limitam ou prejudicam o desenvolvimento de tarefas diárias. Nesse cenário, compreende-se a relevância do terapeuta ocupacional a vislumbrar ações no cotidiano que gerem possibilidades e estimule potencialidades do sujeito, de modo a favorecer seu engajamento em ocupações e o seu desempenho ocupacional. Objetivou-se, neste estudo, comparar o efeito do uso combinado do treino convencional de Atividades de Vida Diária (AVD’s) e a intervenção a partir de um software com o uso isolado dos mesmos sobre o desempenho ocupacional de crianças com TEA nas atividades de escovar os dentes, vestir e despir. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de delineamento experimental de sujeito único, a partir da análise de linha de base e pós-teste em uma amostra de quatro crianças diagnosticadas com TEA. Utilizou-se como instrumentos de pesquisas: a) entrevista semiestruturada, b) escala Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), c) escala de autocuidado inclusa no Protocolo Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI) e, d) folhas de registro. Esta pesquisa apresentou resultados favoráveis quanto ao ganho de habilidades funcionais a partir do treino da AVD’s de vestir, despir e escovar os dentes em quatro crianças com TEA. Sendo que o treino convencional e o treino combinado foram os que apresentaram os melhores resultados mediante ao ensino, aprendizagem e generalização nas atividades em questão. Estima-se que este estudo contribuiu para sistematização do treino de AVD’s em crianças com autismo, instigando possibilidades de intervenções a partir da informatização somada a intervenção convencional.
