Thus, it is important that caregivers be encouraged to be aware of strategies that support them to encourage play with children with autism spectrum disorder. Thus, this study aimed to investigate an intervention program offered to caregivers promoting increased promotion of play sets of children with autism and that state of play. A quantitative research was carried out in which moments of interaction between 7 dyads of caregivers and children without free play, pre and post intervention were recorded, which were analyzed according to the categories of play (exploratory, functional and symbolic and / or set and alone ). The results obtained by: there was an increase in playing time in most dyads; Functional play was the most present in the pre- and post-intervention phases; Only one dyad presented symbolic play; And there was only increase in play together in three dyads. It is concluded that the interventions that promote play for the caregiver, for the child with ASD are important as they potentiate healthy development, through a facilitator that enables a motivation of strategies. Therefore, you may be more motivated with focused interventions to play the ASD. O autismo acarreta déficits no desenvolvimento percebido ainda na primeira infância, fase que o brincar é uma ocupação predominante que potencializa o desenvolvimento. Sendo assim, é importante que cuidadores sejam encorajados a terem conhecimento de estratégias que ajudem a fomentar o brincar junto a crianças com transtorno do espectro autista. Assim, este estudo pretendeu investigar se um programa de intervenção oferecido aos cuidadores promoverá aumento da promoção do brincar conjuntos de crianças com autismo e que estado do brincar (simbólico, exploratório e funcional), faz-se mais presente. Realizou-se pesquisa quantitativa, na qual foram filmados momentos de interação entre 7 díades de cuidadores e filhos no brincar livre , pré e pós intervenção, dos quais foram analisados conforme a categorias do brincar (exploratório, funcional e simbólico e/ou conjunto e sozinho). Os resultados obtidos foram: houve aumento na duração do brincar na maioria das díades; o brincar funcional foi o mais presente nas fases pré e pós-intervenção; apenas uma díade apresentou brincar simbólico; e apenas houve aumento no brincar conjunto em três díades. Conclui-se que intervenções que promovem o brincar através do cuidador, para criança com TEA são importantes à medida que potencializam o desenvolvimento sadio, por meio de um facilitador que viabilize a motivação de estratégias.
