Resumo:
The purpose of this study was to describe the nutritional status of children under five years old, assisted in the 13 health regions of the state of Pará, between 2017 and 2021, registered in SISVAN-Web. This analysis takes place in a context of nutritional and epidemiological transition that, from a health point of view, is shaping a new scenario in the country. In recent years, there has been an exacerbated growth of overweight and obesity among the population, especially among children. Food and Nutrition surveillance is important to monitor nutritional status and prevent health problems. This is a cross-sectional descriptive and analytical study, using secondary data from the following nutritional indices: Height/Age and Body Mass Index/Age, obtained through publicly accessible reports available on the online platform of the Food Surveillance System and (SISVAN), the calculations of each anthropometric parameter were performed by the system that establishes the classifications for analysis and diagnosis of nutritional status, according to the Ministry of Health. And presented in the format of tables built from Microsoft Excel 2010. The results showed a high prevalence of very low height for age in the health region of Marajó II in the years 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021 respectively 12.51%, 13.77%, 15.9% and 12.4%, in 2019, the Marajó I region (16.17%) had the highest index in the parameter in question, followed by the Marajó II region (15.22%). On the other hand, the highest rates of adequate height for age in 2017 (85.91%) and 2018 (85.12%) were obtained in Metropolitan Region I, in 2019 (84.68%) and 2020 (87.49%) this position was occupied by the Carajás region and in 2021 by the Lago do Tucuruí region (88.94%). Regarding the IMC/years parameter, in the year 2017, it was observed that in the Metropolitan Region II there was a high percentage for marked thinness (4.2%), as well as for overweight (9.8%) and obesity (8 .8%). In 2021, the Araguaia region stood out for presenting high levels of pronounced thinness and thinness, respectively 5.39% and 4.63%. However, Metropolitan Region I had lower rates of eutrophic children (54.24%) and a higher percentage of children at risk of overweight, overweight and obesity, respectively 18.34%, 9.40% and 9.73%, notably the region has four health risk parameters. It was observed that children from the health regions of the municipalities furthest from the capital, with low health coverage, social development, housing and employment, had the highest rates of short stature for age and thinness, as well as the lowest rates of eutrophic and age-appropriate stature. However, children from health regions, in which the municipalities are more developed, had a higher percentage of overweight, overweight and obesity risk. Finally, this study aimed to help to better understand the nutritional situation of the state, in order to reach the knowledge of all, especially public managers, the data of the health regions so that it can contribute to the development of prevention and /or correction of these injuries.
