With this in mind, the city of São Paulo-SP created the experimental project called "Blue Lane" which is the creation of an exclusive lane for motorcycles and which has reduced the number of accidents and deaths in traffic involving this modal. In Belém-PA, this problem has been combated by the city through blitz and educational campaigns, but there is no specific project for this means of transportation. This work aims to analyze the need to implement exclusive lanes for motorcycles in Belém do Pará based on the needs that were the basis for the implementation of the "Blue Lane" project in São Paulo. For this, it was analyzed the project "Blue Lane" and what data were used for implementation of the project, in possession of them was made the research of these same data for Bethlehem and their percentages compared with the data of the capital of São Paulo and was proposed to Avenida Centenário as a way of implementation. This comparison showed that, in terms of percentage, Belém had a greater increase in the fleet and annual growth of motorcycles and that the percentage of accidents involving them came close to that of São Paulo before the project. This result showed that Belém meets the requirements for the implementation of the "Blue Lane" project and that there is a need for its implementation. Os acidentes decorrentes do aumento do uso de motocicletas no Brasil têm feito com que os gestores procurem soluções para este problema. Pensando nisso, a prefeitura de São Paulo-SP criou o projeto experimental chamado “Faixa Azul” que é a criação de uma faixa exclusiva pra motocicletas e que tem diminuído o número de acidentes e mortes no trânsito envolvendo este modal. Em Belém-PA, este problema tem sido combatido pela prefeitura através de blitz e campanhas educacionais, mas não há um projeto específico para este meio de transporte. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a necessidade de se implantar faixas exclusivas para motocicletas em Belém do Pará baseado nas necessidades que foram base para implantação do projeto “Faixa Azul” em São Paulo. Para isso, foi analisado o projeto “Faixa Azul” e quais dados foram utilizados para implantação do projeto, em posse deles foi feito a pesquisa destes mesmos dados para Belém e suas porcentagens comparadas com os dados da capital paulista e foi proposto a Avenida Centenário como via de implantação. Esta comparação mostrou que, em termos de porcentagem, Belém teve um maior aumento da frota e do crescimento anual de motocicletas e que a porcentagem de acidentes envolvendo as mesmas chegou próximo ao de São Paulo antes do projeto.
