The research was characterized, regarding its approach, as qualitative; As for the objectives, it was exploratory in nature, and as it was carried out with two farmers (Seu Júlio and Seu Nicolas), residents of the São Pedro do Caratateua community located in the municipality of Aurora do Pará/PA, it was characterized as a case study. The theoretical basis of the research was carried out in a bibliographical way on the Ethnomathematics Program, which served as a subsidy to investigate the mathematical knowledge of farmers, as well as to relate them to school knowledge. In order to obtain the necessary information for the investigation of the research, interviews were carried out with the farmers, and some parts of the passion fruit cultivation process were also observed, in order to report all the details of this planting. The results of this research showed that even a farmer, who many times has never gone through a school processor, manages to produce his own mathematical knowledge, acquired from his needs and experiences throughout his life, which are passed on in generations and the importance to make an approximation of this informal mathematical knowledge to formal mathematical knowledge, emphasizing that this approximation can propose a better teaching-learning process. O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC) é resultado de uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo identificar os conhecimentos matemáticos usados nas práticas informais de produtores no cultivo do maracujá, na perspectiva de aproximar esses conhecimentos ao conhecimento formal escolar no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da Matemática. A pesquisa caracteriza-se, quanto a sua abordagem, como qualitativa; quanto aos objetivos, é de caráter exploratório, e como esta foi realizada em uma comunidade específica, aponta para a modalidade de Estudo de Caso. Participaram como nossos colaboradores dois produtores aqui identificados como seu Júlio e seu Nicolas, que são moradores da comunidade São Pedro do Caratateua localizada no município de Aurora do Pará/PA e produtores do cultivo do Maracujá. A pesquisa está fundamentada em estudos bibliográficos que discutem a temática, especialmente o que se refere ao Programa Etnomatemática, que serviu de embasamento para investigar os conhecimentos matemáticos dos produtores, bem como, relacioná-los com os conhecimentos matemáticos escolares. Para obter as informações, inicialmente realizamos a observação in loco, para conhecer de que forma o processo de cultivo do Maracujá é desenvolvido pelos produtores. E para consolidar a observação, realizamos entrevistas com os dois produtores de Maracujá já informados. Os resultados apontam que mesmo que estes agricultores não tenham conhecimentos formais da matemática por não terem frequentado os bancos escolares, detém um conhecimentos próprio, produzidos a partir das necessidades surgidas e adquiridos nas experiências vivenciadas ao longo da vida. Estes conhecimentos e/ou saberes, são repassados de pai para filho, o que garante a continuidade do saber desenvolvido pelo grupo social investigado.
