To this end, we sought a reference to this support and guarantee the legitimacy of regionalism as a form of fictional expression through a theorization which sought concepts, historicizing and philosophical currents that addressed the topic. From there, deepened the analysis of the theme within the tale, seeking parallels and comparisons between theoretical frameworks and narrative action devised by the author on the screen in an attempt to relativize the academic vision and vision emanating fictional tale. O presente trabalho tem por finalidade um estudo sobre o conto O Carro dos Milagres de Benedcito Monteiro tendo como base teórica o regionalismo, partindo-se do princípio que esta tendência literária é vista como uma literatura menor dentro dos círculos mais afamados da literatura brasileira. Para tal, buscou-se um referencial que desse suporte e garantisse a legitimidade do regionalismo como uma forma de expressão ficcional através de uma teorização que procurou conceitos, historização e correntes filosóficas que abordassem o tema.
