Initially we carried out a literature search on the Importance of the interpretation of texts written in Elementary Education. In a second step we carried out a field research, using as instruments two questionnaires applied to the Class Teacher and students of the 6th year of that school. The questionnaire administered to Professor is divided into three stages, which address issues related to teaching learning in order to point out the difficulties that teachers and students face in their daily claim school, as well as the need for reflection on the part of the same on the use of innovative methodologies, as effective strategy so that they can develop a rationale for understanding the texts. The other questionnaire used in this research was directed to students, in order to inquire them about the acceptance of this methodology and the contributions from the process of teaching / learning caused by the use of the same. As part of the process of data collection were developed with students activities interpretation of texts related to the content already covered this school year. The activities were carried out in the classroom. The analysis of the survey results are reported in the Results and Discussions of this work. O presente estudo foi realizado no município de Abaetetuba do Estado do Pará, visando identificar as dificuldades encontradas no processo de Ensino Aprendizagem referente a interpretação de textos escritos dos alunos do 6º ano Ensino Fundamental da Escola Professor Bernardino Pereira de Barros. Inicialmente realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a importância da interpretação de textos escritos no Ensino Fundamental. Em um segundo momento realizou-se uma Pesquisa de campo, utilizando como instrumentos duas entrevistas aplicadas ao professor e aos alunos da turma do 6º ano da referida Escola. O questionário aplicado ao Professor encontra-se dividido em três etapas, que abordam questões relacionadas ao Ensino aprendizagem, no intuito de apontar as dificuldades que os docentes e discentes alegam enfrentar em seu cotidiano escolar, bem como a necessidade de uma reflexão por parte dos mesmos sobre o uso de metodologias inovadoras, como estratégia eficiente para que possam desenvolver um raciocínio para compreensão dos textos. O outro questionário utilizado nesta pesquisa foi direcionado aos alunos, com o objetivo de indagá-los sobre a aceitação da referida metodologia e as contribuições trazidas ao processo de Ensino/Aprendizagem ocasionadas pelo uso da mesma. Ainda como parte do processo de levantamento de dados, foram desenvolvidas com os alunos atividades de interpretação de textos relacionadas aos conteúdos já abordados neste ano letivo. As atividades foram realizadas em sala de aula.
