This cultural manifestation is carried out mainly by women who bless and heal with faith, through religiosity and syncretism based on African, indigenous and European heritage. It is important to discuss these practices through an approach of how this craft was acquired, how they are performed, what materials and herbs they use in their cures and/or prayers, how they are seen by society and which public they usually seek out. them with the aim of treating illnesses, seeking graces in personal life through blessings. It is also necessary to understand how this tradition continues throughout the generations of these women, why are they the ones who bless and what is behind this practice in Salinópolis? As a methodology, the research will use audio interviews and also photographs, Why are they with the purpose of showing reports of blessing practices, using oral and imagetic sources. This discussion aims to confirm that women are still sought after by many people in the municipality, and that the tradition is passed down from generation to generation. Furthermore, individuals believe in the gift of healing, in the syncretism typical of African-based religions, such as Umbanda, in addition to believing in the heritage of indigenous religiosity in parallel to the public health system. O objetivo deste artigo é discutir e analisar as práticas de cura de Benzedeiras de Salinópolis, tendo em vista as diferentes problemáticas que elas enfrentam como: o preconceito religioso, a sociedade patriarcal, o dia a dia difícil de mulheres negras que vivem na periferia, entre outros. Esta manifestação cultural é realizada majoritariamente por mulheres que benzem e que curam com a fé, por meio da religiosidade e sincretismo com base na herança africana, indígena e europeia. É importante discutir sobre essas práticas por meio de uma abordagem de como esse ofício foi adquirido, como são realizados, quais materiais e ervas que as mesmas utilizam em suas curas e/ou rezas, como as mesmas são vistas pela sociedade e qual público costuma procurá-las com o intuito de tratamento de doenças, almejando graças na vida pessoal por meio da benzedura. É preciso compreender também, como se dá a continuidade desta tradição ao longo das gerações dessas mulheres, por que são elas que benzem e o que está por detrás dessa prática em Salinópolis? Como metodologia, a pesquisa vai utilizar entrevistas por meio de áudios e também fotografias com a finalidade de mostrar os relatos das práticas do benzimento, utilizando-se de fontes orais e imagéticas. Pretende-se confirmar com essa discussão que as mulheres ainda são procuradas por muitas pessoas no município, e que a tradição é passada de geração em geração.
