With the increasing use of wireless devices and the establishment of various connection standards, it becomes essential to assess which standards might prove more efficient for specific scenarios. This study examines the performance of IEEE 802.11a and 802.11b standards in mobile scenarios, where nodes are distributed at a distance of 20 meters from each other, following a continuous random mobility model. The standards were evaluated utilizing the NS-3 network simulator, revealing that IEEE 802.11a outperforms 802.11b in terms of performance.
