The present study entitled “National Education Plan 2014-2024 and the Education of Young People and Adults in schools in the countryside of Curralinho-Pará” aimed to investigate how the relationships between lived experiences, studies and discussions about the Education of Young People and Adults happen with a specific look at EJA in the countryside of the municipality of Curralinho-PA. The research carried out is predominantly qualitative, because through the data consulted in the National Education Plan, we can analyze the information contained in the goals relating to Youth and Adult Education in Brazil, and what specific strategies are aimed at the demand addressed. And in a quantitative way, through the analysis of data contained in the Brazilian basic education yearbook, which measures the rates of Youth and Adult Education both at the National level and in the five regions of Brazil. The theoretical sources that support the discussions are: Arroyo (1998), BESSERA (2014), Alvez (2008), National Education Plan-PNE (2013), Brazilian Yearbook of Basic Education (2018), and others. The results obtained in the research highlight the disparity in the teaching quality of EJA classes in the different regions of Brazil, as well as the differences between the educational development indicators for the education of young people and adults, in the different segments presented, for example: age group, ethnicity, gender and social status. |
