The present work of course completion, analyze and describe the creation process od choreography “ O Sofrimento dos Inocentes”, in which movements have meanings that dialogue internally with the researcher presented here, reflecting in form of expression on the
scene. I present Martha Graham’s historic and mine, from the method of Modern Dance, technique chosen by composition, as the substance of memories and experiences that contributed to significant movement. I bring Salles as a theoretical framework about the creative process, as well as, theorists of Modern Dance like Monteiro, Leal and Garaudy. For gestural signs, dialogue with the semiotic concept of conversion, second Loureiro. The result shows the construction of the choreography, through the inducing elements movements and technique of Modern Dance, as well as, by way of internalizing the character, for the expression of the meanings of movement.
